Monte Grappa is one of the highest prealpine peaks and plunges down to the Vicenza and Treviso plains. In winter, during the storms caused by the scirocco, the temperature rises and there is often a risk of rain showers. It has an average snowfall of 6/7 meters a year. The summer climate is often dry and windy while in the other seasons it is often foggy. The maximum daily temperature is almost always between 10.00-12.00 in the morning in Summer, and between 11-13 in Winter. Regarding minimum temperatures, no stratospheric records have been recorded because the weather station is located right at the top of the mountain so no inversional layers are created. At night the wind blows continuously. These two factors prevent temperatures from dropping as they do at higher levels. Visibility from the summit is often clear with views of the Emilian Apennines and the Adriatic Sea. You can also see the Croatian coast and the highest Slovenian and Croatian mountains.
